Here are some of the more pathetic attempts at appearing dark and macabre with the use of Sir Inge that I have found on DeviantArt. Artistic meaning: nill.

please refrain from groping the retards with your cursor

Every little morbid loving dipshit is taking super trendy photos with syringes filled with red fluids and calling it “photography” and “art”. Unfortunately, they are too retarded to know how what they’re imitating is actually done, thus they end up with a photo that looks clearly staged. They hold the needle in at the wrong angle, don’t use anything to tighten their arm and increase blood flow, or sometimes they just spurt blood all over their arm to look awesomely morbid, all the while focusing on their facial expression as they pose for this pathetic, fake “art” which only aims to further their image. If they wanted to convey anything about the idea through photography, they would either know something about the act personally, or have experienced it in some way. They would know how to insert the syringe, or they would at least be able to mimic facial expressions and bodily movements that convey their feelings on the subject. They could go even further and have a background, a setting for the photo. But no, these little shits don’t say anything with their facial “expressions”, wardrobe choice, setting “choice” and injecting “skills”, their photos have nothing to convey, apart from “look at me, I’m so morbid”, and isn’t the point of art to try to communicate something of meaning?

I look for interesting art on the subject of shooting up to witness the depiction of it by others, and find out their own opinions on the act of injecting; instead I find stupid little posers, who have spread onto DeviantART from MySpace to try and be more alternative and arty.
I don’t mind if the shot is staged. As long as it is obviously trying to portray and communicate something of value, or make any obvious mistakes in the set-up. The worst is when they lie and say it’s real, especially if they clearly have no idea how to even hold a syringe.

One Response to ““Being morbid + Appearing artistic” – Two trends combine to produce a new, horrific brand of posers.”

oh my dear, i couldn’t agree with you more!
    it’s an epidemic at best…
the most amusing image i’ve seen lately is someone pretending to inject whilst under a black light… fucken jesus, brain check in aisle dickhead!
i agree with you that if you can pull of the staged images then by all means, do it if thats whats in your heart, but as far as this gore/morbid trend goes i just wanna acctually stab them with their weapons of choice.
